Long-Term Running Goals:

Finishing a marathon in under 3 hours. This is actually my goal in my upcoming marathon in August 2019 (Pocatello).

Personal:

Happily married with one kid. Chemical engineer, now studying statistics. Although I've always maintained a healthy level of fitness, I didn't pick up running until junior year at BYU. Now I live in Idaho, where I leave for work at 4:30am and don't get home until 5:30pm. I try to get a short run in before work and usually something during lunch. My focus in running is improving my marathon time, but I like to participate in all the races I can. I am a Honey Stinger Hive ambassador and hoping to qualify for the Boston Marathon for the first time this August by completing the Pocatello Marathon in under 3 hours. Say hello!

Early in. Workout day. 2 mile warm up, 3x(1mile LT, 1 minute recovery), 3 minute recovery, 3x(1km VO2max, 3 minute recovery), 4x(400m mile pace, 400m recovery). (10.6 in 1:15:14)

Also signed up for the Pocatello marathon with the Valentine's Day deal ($40). So no STG this year, which is okay. In-laws live down there and don't want to have to travel so much in one season since we'll probably be there for November or December.

Pocatello is a great race! It has some challenge to run it well but Mike the RD does an awesome job with this event.

I did the half in 2017 and was very impressed with the all the amenities provided. Whoever Mike the RD is, he is doing a good job!
