Long-Term Running Goals:

Finishing a marathon in under 3 hours. This is actually my goal in my upcoming marathon in August 2019 (Pocatello).

Happily married with one kid. Chemical engineer, now studying statistics. Although I've always maintained a healthy level of fitness, I didn't pick up running until junior year at BYU. Now I live in Idaho, where I leave for work at 4:30am and don't get home until 5:30pm. I try to get a short run in before work and usually something during lunch. My focus in running is improving my marathon time, but I like to participate in all the races I can. I am a Honey Stinger Hive ambassador and hoping to qualify for the Boston Marathon for the first time this August by completing the Pocatello Marathon in under 3 hours. Say hello!

At home on the treadmill, started running before 4am. On the last episode of Chuck. Went to the temple. Made banana waffles for the first time, and the family really enjoyed it. Life is great! (7.87 in 1:00:00). Also, I'm on the last episode of Chuck.

Hey Donald!

IŽm following your blog since a few weeks because I have the same goal to run sub3 in the next two years. Belonging to training and mileage, I am one year behind you, I hope to run more than 2000 miles in 2019. YouŽre doing a great job, think youŽll have a good chance to reach your goal next year!

Thanks for the hello, Martin! It's nice to meet someone on here who is in a similar boat as me. My next marathon is in May, and I am really focused on that achieving my goal at that time (I like the name of your blog by the way). 2:59 is a great lifetime goal in my opinion. As my kids get older, I expect that I'll want to put less time into running, and now is a great time to try to get faster. You've got a really great 10k and HM time from a previous training season it seems. I fully expect you to get your goal soon. Keep up the good work and let's stay in touch!
