Running under 3:00 at the Ogden Marathon in May 2019!
Long-Term Running Goals:
Finishing a marathon in under 3 hours. This is actually my goal in my upcoming marathon in May 2019.
Happily married with one kid. Chemical engineer, now studying statistics. Although I've always maintained a healthy level of fitness, I didn't pick up running until junior year at BYU. Now I live in Idaho, where I leave for work at 5am and don't get home until 5:40pm. I try to get a short run in before work and on a blue moon I do a little something else after work. Some might call that a weekend warrior, but I make an honest effort during the week as well. Say hello!
Easy talking miles on the treadmill. Had good company to chat with. Did some strides at the end (6.6 miles in 49:28)
5 easy miles in 39 minutes before dinner. We celebrated Idaho-Christmas tonight. Ellie was so excited to open here presents: a Monkey beanie with mittens, and some Mega Blox (giant legos). She loves the blox and was so upset to leave them for bedtime.
2 mile warmup. 4x(1 mile T, 1 min Rec), 5x(3 min I, 2 min Rec), 7x(200m mile pace, 200m Rec). Long cool down, around 3-4 miles. Watched The Battle for Sevastopol on prime. A pretty good Russian-made historical drama.
An unfortunate running experience. 90 minutes easy on the treadmill. My Achilles felt a slight twinge, certainly nothing that has been a concern before. Well now a day later it is uncomfortable to the point that I know I should not run. Darn! (11.7 in 90:00)
